This is the Flash Jay Garrick t-shirt. Jay Garrick is the first to use the name Flash. Jason Peter Garrick was a nerdy college student prior to 1940 who accidentally inhales hard water vapors after falling asleep in his laboratory. Oops. This story was eventually changed to Jay inhaling heavy water vapors. As a result Jay finds that he can run at superhuman speed and now has super fast reflexes. After a brief career as a college football star Jay sports a red shirt with a lightning bolt and a stylized metal helmet with wings (based on images of the Greek god Hermes or copycatted Roman {and more popular} god Mercury. ... so anyway Jay begins to fight crime as the Flash. The helmet belonged to Jay's father Joseph who fought during World War I. Jay's first case involved battling the Faultless Four a group of blackmailers who were inept at coming up with supervillain names. In the early stories it seems to be widely known that Garrick was the Flash. It is later explained that Jay keeps his identity secret without a mask by continually vibrating his body while in public so that any photograph of his face would be blurred. You can blame this stupid stunt on the highly imaginative DC writers. The art work on this Flash shirt is done by the amazing Alex Ross. Nobody knows how long the manufacturers will keep making this shirt.

The movie Reefer Madness was considered THE archetypical sensationalized anti-drug movie but it's really an exploitation film made to capitalize on the hot taboo subject of marijuana use. Like many exploitation films of the time "Reefer Madness" tried to make a quick buck off of a forbidden subject while skirting aroiund the Motion Picture Production Code of 1930s. The Motion Picture Production Code forbade the positive portrayal of immoral acts like drug use: The illegal drug traffic must not be portrayed in such a way as to stimulate curiosity concerning the use of or traffic in such drugs; nor shall scenes be approved which show the use of illegal drugs or their effects in detail. Reefer Madness toured around the US for quite a few years - often being re-edited and re-titled ("Tell Your Children" "Dope Addict" "Doped Youth" "Love Madness" "The Burning Question"). It was re-discovered in the early 1970s by NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) and screened again as an example of the government's demonization of marijuana. NORML may have been confused about the film's sponsorship since one of the film's distributors Dwain Esper testified to the Arizona Supreme Court that "Reefer Madness" was not a trashy exploitation film but was actually sponsored by the U.S. Government - which ended up being nothing more than a convincing lie. (Let that be a lesson to you). The film is still quite enjoyable since it dramatizes the "violent narcotic's ... soul destroying" effects on unwary teens and their hedonistic exploits enroute to the bottom of life. What is often perplexing is the portrayal of adults posing as teens or young kids. But that in itself is charming in itself.

Green Lantern Sinestro Corps Symbol T-Shirt

Sinestro is a native of Korugar a planet in space sector 1417. Sinestro's dedication to preserving order initially led him to be considered one of the greatest Green Lanterns evaaa! World of Warcraft Alliance Crest T-Shirt

This is a World of Warcraft Alliance crest t-shirt. There are two types of characters: Player Characters (PCs or simply "characters") and Non-Player Characters (NPCs). A Player Character is controlled by a player who used to be a person who lived in his mom's basement but has transgressed to pretty much everyone now whilst Non-Player Characters (NPCs) are controlled by the game software and can only interact with PCs through scripted events. There are three types of NPCs. Friendly NPCs cannot attack friendly characters and vice versa. Hostile NPCs are either of the opposing faction or are mobs (enemies controlled by AI) and will freely attack any PC with whom they are hostile. and Neutral NPCs will only attack if provoked. Some NPC interaction is affected by the reputation a PC has with them. Non Player Characters in major and minor cities can buy and sell merchandise train class and profession skills give quests and provide a large number of services that are needed in the game. Just like in the real world but without the consequences. While some will merely offer advice or further the story along other NPCs such as city guards thieves librarians etc. patrol around to keep cities defended against attacking PCs or hostile NPCs who don't pay their late fees that may attempt to invade. Guards can also provide directions to common locations within their city. When creating a character in World of Warcraft the player can choose from ten different races in two factions: Alliance and Horde. Race determines the character's appearance starting location and initial skill set called "racial traits". The Alliance currently consists of Humans Night Elves Dwarfs Gnomes and Draenei. The Horde currently consists of Orcs Tauren Undead Trolls and Blood Elves. Draenei and Blood Elf characters were introduced in The Burning Crusade and require that expansion in order to be created. In addition to the ten playable races there are many NPC races including (but not limited to) Goblins Ogres Murlocs and Naga. Awesome!

The World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is the second expansion for the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft on-line game following The Burning Crusade. It is set in the land of Northrend home of the Lich King Arthas Menethil/Ner'zhul. Say that three times fast. The realm of Northrend is a crescent-shaped continent in northern Azeroth. The crescent continent is about half the size of the Eastern Kingdoms. Although Northrend is known for its snow and ice and pretty snow flakes only a few portions of the continent are frozen wasteland. Brrrrr. Northrend has about eleven zones with content for levels as low as 68 though players may travel to Northrend at any level. Players will land by boat or kite board if you're really brave either at the Howling Fjord or the Borean Tundra zones located at opposite ends of the continent. Higher level players prefer the Borean Tundra since they claim that if you play at 2am eastern time on Monday through Wednesday there's a hot chick there with some special "powers." But we're still trying to confirm this. Howling Fjord is home to evil vampiric half-giants called the Vrykul. The Dragonblight and Grizzly Hills zones are located in the southern central part of the continent and the ursine Furbolgs reside in the forested Grizzly Hills. The Dragonblight features graveyards of dragons who came to die. The Fembots will be found in the Frizzleban Whoremonger Val and if you are quick with your Platipoo and Dork Dork you'll make it to the Comibon without losing your wingbats and fuzzbusters! Awesome!

Spiderman One Small Break Trade Paperback

Peter Parker: Spider-Man #27-28 & 30-34 Review is snagged from M.E. Grant The McGyver of Books! Paul Jenkins presents four storylines in Spiderman: One Small Break...one of them is good. I'm a huge fan of Spidey but he has been portrayed in a much better style (both plotwise and artistically) look no further than J. Michael Straczynski's Spiderman: Homecoming for a perfect example. Jenkins stories seem to slide back-and-forth between serious and cartoonish way too easily the artwork only emphasizes the cartoonish nature. The storylines presented here cover Peter Parker: Spiderman issues #27-28 and 30-34. They include... Spiderman battling his arch-enemy Stromm...and then being placed into a situation where he has to decide "Is it right to kill someone if thousands of future lives will be saved?" Interesting question but it could have been presented in a much stronger light. The villain of Stromm is also not one of the stronger antagonists that Spidey has battled. Spiderman battling a revenge hungry foe called Fusion. This storyline takes several interesting turns the most interesting being when Spiderman receives that "One Small Break" of the title's name. Overall an average outing but there was plenty of untapped potential. The best storyline of the bunch (and the only one worth reading in this collection) is a story dealing with Peter Parker (not Spiderman) and his past relationship with his Uncle Ben. The story focuses around an annual attendance of a Mets game and it works on several levels. Again there is some cartoonish nature that detracts from it and keeps it from reaching a "Best of..." level but overall this one is a great read. A silly and stupid and underdeveloped story about a man cursed with dangerous powers and who is being chased by some friendly monks (in the Monk-Mobile!). UG! Why was this story written in the first place...much less included in a TPB? What a waste of space and it doesn't say much if this is the higher level of story to be included into a mainstream TPB. If you're "Jones-ing" for a Spiderman read then you may want to pick up One Small Break. But if you want to read Spidey in some of his top storylines then look for other TPB's available such as: The Death of Gwen Stacy Power and Responsibility or Untold Tales of Spiderman you'll have a better time there.

Well back in the 1990s the big deal was the ozone layer and cfc's (cloroflorocarbos) and how they were eating away at our ozone letting in more UV rays melting ice caps etc. So what? you ask? Well don't you hate it when the comics decide to force a story just to make a point and in the process they create an abysmal failure in not only getting the social message across but they also create an abortion of a comic. The result is this comic. I couldn't even finish it it's that bad! Seriously. Even worse than the Frank Miller & Todd McFarlane Batman/Spawn comic. My God! I'm only telling you this so you won't waste your money. Please buy a t-shirt or any other graphic novel instead... or... you could buy this one to see if I'm lying. If I'm lying I'm dying. Amazing Spider-Man #1 - 6 Review is snagged from Tariq I would have given this book at least four stars if it didn't include Garth Ennis's three-part story The Thousand. It introduced a really silly villain who was supposed to bully Peter Parker as a kid. I hate it when characters who are supposedly part of the backstory come out of nowhere and I hate it even more when they are just silly. He had no motivation for wanting to kill Spiderman and take his place. The plot was just lame which is a shame because Garth Ennis is one of the greatest comic writers ever. Having said that John McCrea's art is brilliant! He uses a different style that I have never seen him use before. It relies less on shading and more on simple linework and colouring effects. Thankfully it gets much better from here on. Greg Rucka of Detective Comics fame offers the best story of the collection with the simple yet effective Kingpin story Severence package. Its offers an interesting insight into the way the Kingpin runs his organisation and has one of the best portrayals of the character ever. Flowers for Rhino based on the brilliant short story Flowers for Algernon is one of the few instances that the Rhino is portrayed as a character you can feel for. Its a love story believe it or not in which the Rhino gains intelligence. This book collects the first few stories from Marvel's Tangled Web series which is one of the best Spider-man books in a long time. The still going on and the stories are still excellent so you might want to search for individual issues if they are not reprinted in trade paperback form. End Tariq's review. The neighborhood isn't so friendly anymore. Spider-Man has been operating in New York City for years; shunned or reviled he has touched most of its eight million citizens. And each of them has a story. It's an entirely different way at looking at Spider-Man the way he operates and the world he lives in. Each story is by a different set of today's top comics creators starting with "The Thousand" which introduces a new threat to Spider-Man courtesy of Garth Ennis (Punisher Preacher Hitman) and John McCrea (Hitman Jenny Sparks Hulk Smash!). What's it like to work for the Kingpin? It's answered in "Severance Package" from crime novelist Greg Rucka (Shooting at Midnight Black Widow) and Edward Risso (100 Bullets). "Flowers for Rhino" is an offbeat look at one of Spider-Man's oldest foes from Peter Milligan (X-Force Shade the Changing Man) and Duncan Fegredo (Jay and Silent Bob).

Bernabo Spider-Man Visionaries: John Romita Sr" provides nine examples of the artist work on "The Amazing Spider-Man" drawing the stories written by Stan Lee. Included are the first four issues drawn by Romita which includes the classic two-parter where the Green Goblin discovers Spider-Man is really Peter Parker who learns his arch foe is Norman Osborn father of his best friend Harry: #39 "How Green Was My Goblin!" and #40 "The End of the Green Goblin!" There was certainly no time for fans of the webhead to complain about Steve Ditko being replaced as the comic's artist when the first illustration we see from Romita is the classic cover of #39 with the Goblin carting away the unmasked Spider-Man. This pivotal story is followed by 41 "The Horns of the Rhino!" and #42 "The Birth of a Super-Hero!" where John Jameson is turned into a superhero type by his father's meglomania. Then we have another one of Romita's best covers and stories in #50 "Spider-Man No More!" This is followed by #68 "Crisis on the Campus!" and #69 "Mission: Crush the Kingpin!" the second encounter with the round ball of muscle destined to become the crime boss of New York City. Finally we have #108 "Vengeance from Vietnam!" and #109 "Enter: Dr. Strange!" has Spidey trying to help Flash Thompson who is wrongly blammed for the shelling of a temple in Vietnam and the death of the Holy One. Dr. Strange Master of the Mystic Arts comes along to provide uh spiritual guidance. So on the one hand we have the top three issues drawn by Romita you would want (#39 #40 & #50) but the rest of these are fairly pedestrian. What you will discover is that while Romita might not have the superb compositional skills of Ditko nobody ever drew Gwen Stacy any better. I have a slight preference for the art of Gene Colan when it comes to drawing females but Romita is a close second and his drawings of both Spider-Man and Peter Parker have become the standards by which all succeeding Spider-Man artists have been judged (even Jr.).

Except now Norman Osborn is using someone else as Gobby. I won't spoil it for you though. I can say though that the story is very emotional and you can see that everyone has a dark evil side. Even Peter Parker Spider-Man goes dark in this story. You can even feel for poor Norman as the story reveals. Spidey is tangled in his own web and you do not want to miss his struggle... All in all this ranks among some of the best Green Goblin stories written (Perhaps even better than the Green Goblin/Hobgoblin team-up/battle). A must for Goblin and Spidey fans everywhere.

During the Gryps Conflict in UC0087 the AEUG relied heavily on mobile suits stolen from the Earth Federation mainly the RGM-79R GM II. However its leadership soon decided that the AEUG needed a mass-produced unit of their own so that they could fight the Titan?s on a more even grounds. Anaheim Electronics was contracted to develop the new suit. They came out with the Nemo. Batman vs Joker Wrong Signal Distressed T-Shirt

This Joker t-shirt is right off of Batman #37 from 1945. This is one of the earlier versions of the Joker created by Bill Finger the co-creator of Batman and Bob Kane. Bill showed Bob a picture of actor Conrad Veidt in make up from the silent film The Man Who Laughs (1928). Then after the Joker was modeled on this photograph. Set in England 1690 featuring Gwynplaine (Conrad Veidt) who is the son of an English nobleman who has offended King James II. The King sentences Gwynplaine's father to death via an iron maiden which is basically a metal upright coffin (made in the 18th century) with spikes on it to torture people. The benevolent monarch also has a surgeon disfigure Gwynplaine's face into a permanent grin condemns him to laugh forever at his fool of a father. The Man Who Laughs is known for the grim Carnival freak-like grin that Gwynplaine is forced to wear as an adult and has been credited to igniting the horror genre. Bill Finger and Bob Kane happened to pick the perfect character to mimic for the Joker. ... so buy the damn shirt!

In WW I (I not II) Logan joins a unit in the Canadian military known as the Devil's Brigade. Logan's commanding officer is a super-strong guy known as Cyber. Eventually Logan and Cyber fight over none the less... a woman named Janet who Cyber kills. Of course. Well during the battle Cyber brutally beats Logan and gouges out one of his eyes fries it up in a pan in front of the bleeding Logan who is tied down adds salt and pepper and procedes to eat the friggen eyeball in front of Logan. Grosss! So... Logan runs off yaddy yaddy yaddy and afterwards Cyber and Sabretooth track him down. They find a feral Logan in the woods and convince him that his only salvation is to work for them. (yeah right after he eats his eye?) And of course Logan does so traveling overseas where he meets Seraph in Madripoor for the first time going by the alias "Patch" as his eye still hasn't regenerated. Somehow in Australia in current time Patch hooks up with Lady Deathstrike I'm guessing there's a fight yaddy yaddy yaddy and a lot of blood and the baddy escapes leaving Logan behind to remedy an almost lost situation saving the world no doubt while Deathstrike gets away. Be sure to pick up a box of these little Marvel Minimates of Patch and the wicked Lady Deathstrike.

This is the Sandman and Silver Sable Marvel Minimates action figures set. I never did like the Sandman. Let's get real. Yeah I can suspend reality and think... a guy can flyyyy or... climb on walls through static cling (not talons stupid movie!) or even a billionaire crime fighter (which is what all of us would like to do) or even invisibility or.. or claws that can extend from the backs of your hands but not too long just an inch or two but come ooonnnnn turning into sand and moving around? That's just stupid! And is Silver Sable seriously going to have someone like Sandy on her team? Tch! Come on... she's at least a 9.7 and he's.. a what a 3.5 at most? She has Spidey at the drop of a hat she doesn't need no dirty sandy guy who never changes his shirt. The Marvel Minimates are way popular. And to think I used to tie them to a big ball bearing pour lighter fluid on them set them on fire and shoot them with a high powered reinforced wrist rocket (do they still make those things? Way fun... and dangerous the way toys are supposed to be). God that was fun till all the sudden they got expensive and collectible. Then we had to switch over to discounted Hero Clix... but they don't go as far and they tend to break when you release them with the sling shot getting fragments in your eye and lighterfluid in your hair. Now THAT was funneeee! But after 3-4 times it gets kind of old. Stupid Hero Clix. No... the way to go nowadays is to just buy the friggen lil action figures and glue them on your monitor. The Marvel Minimates including the Trampy High Maintenance Gold Digging Silver Sable (now newly augmented) and her dog "THE SAAAAAANDMANNNNN."

6.75" tall Straight from the pages of the DC comic COUNTDOWN series and inspired by the work of the infamous Jack Kirby comes Scott Free aka Mister Miracle. Scott Free the son of Izaya (Highfather) the ruler of New Genesis and Izaya's buxom wife Avia. Izaya agreed to an exchange of heirs with the galactic tyrant Darkseid; in order to prevent each side in the destructive war with the planet Apokolips to help guarantee that neither side would attack the other. As a result Scott traded places with Darkseid's second born son Orion. Scott grew up in one of Granny Goodness' "Terror Orphanages" with no knowledge of his own heritage. As he matured Scott rebelled against the totalitarian ass-hole ideology of Apokolips and was often caught skipping school smoking in the bathrooms and jack-rolling the local transients for fun. Hating himself for being unable to fit in he was influenced by Metron the Metronome to see a future beyond Darkseid. Scott became part of a small band of pupils who were tutored in secret by the rebel Himon a New Genesian living as a "Hunger Dog" on Apokolips. It was at these meetings that he met fellow pupil Big Barda who would later become his wife. Now Big Barda is like a pro female wrestler but with a really hot body and with breasts of supehero proportion. Eventually Scott Free escaped Apokolips and fled to Earth. His escape long anticipated and planned by Darkseid nullified the pact between Darkseid and Highfather and gave Darkseid the much needed excuse to rekindle the war with New Genesis. ... Stupid Scott! Once on Earth Scott became the prot?g? of a circus escape artist Thaddeus Brown (god this is some good writing if I've ever seen it. All we need is a dwarf a murder and some stupid trail by combat and we got a genuine DC classic story). Now Thaddeus went by the stage name of Mister Miracle. Brown was impressed with Scott's skills ignoring the fact that he's a freakin' alien who speaks perfect English (see Star Trek continuing flaws). Scott also befriended Brown's assistant... ah jeeze... a friggin dwarf named Oberon. When Thaddeus Brown was murdered Scott Free assumed the identity of Mister Miracle. Big Buxom Barda later followed Scott to Earth and the two used their powers equipment and skills in the war against Darkseid who was still interested in recapturing both of them. Eventually tired of being chased on Earth by Darkseid's servants Scott returned to Apokolips and won his freedom through a legal trial by combat. ... you just gotta love those DC writers.
